Each year in the fishing industry we see many new products that make a positive impact on each fishing adventure, but this year we have one that has many of us excited. Lindy has a new jig on the market called the Maxgap jig. This jig is going to be deadly on those Walleyes. The jig starts with the new Techni-glo colors and combinations, from the hot glows to those two-tones, they have covered the color spectrum for each specie that we chase.
Next is the distinctive hook design. It is built with the livebait and plastic presentations in mind. It has the wide bite and bleeding bait hook. The key to better hook ups is many times the distance from the point of the hook to the eyelet of the jig,the greater the distance the better the hook ups. The bleeding bait hooks are super sharp and slightly longer, making them key for shiner presentation and for those light biters.
When using the Maxgap with any type of minnow, try hooking your minnow through the mouth, out the gill and up the stomach out the back. This allows the hook to set-up further back in the minnow making for many less short-biters. This jig is a must see and buy for any angler or you might be sitting back and watching that boat next to you while they are catching.
