My wife and I had an awesome day of fishing with Sean in early June. We were after bigger walleyes and just the opportunity to expand our experience and knowledge of the fishery. Sean has tremendous experience and history on the lakes around the area and while catching fish was obviously the objective, Sean excels in teaching and sharing knowledge so others can expand their fun as well.

We had a great time fishing on Saturday. Winnie was fun and Red Lake was "just not right". The crappies bite was hot and the fish were pigs!

For anyone who is unfamiliar with the North Central Minnesota Lakes area, I highly recommend using a guide. My experience with guides is not large and my fishing skills are limited, but I cannot say enough good things about Sean Colter. We had a first class day of fishing both on the hard water and off. He was willing to answer all of our fishing questions and as a bonus he even put us on some fish. His knowledge was expansive and he was able to put up with our BS throughout the day.

"Sean thanks for the Winnie and Red lake fishing this weekend. I have never caught Crappies like that before in my life. That also was my first trip to Winnie and as soon as I got my line in the water..fish on.

I have fished with Sean several times and I can assure you he is very professional and knowle have to do is show up ready to catch fish.

Every trip I have had with Sean has been very enjoyable and I am already looking forward to this years' trips. If you do book a trip be sure to include one of Sean's famous shore lunches. It is a great way to end a good day of fishing by eating that day's catch. He cooks the entire lunch over an open fire and uses a frying pan that is may be, you are sure to enjoy a day on the water with Sean Colter catching some of the finest walleyes Minnesota has to offer."
